Regent School, Sierra Leone
AKIN needs your support
 
AKIN  has committed to assist the Regent School in Sierra Leone with their refurbishment efforts.  Currently the school educates over 450 students and desperately needs to raise funds for the project.

Donations
AKIN depends on the generosity of individuals in the community, like you, to provide items for people in need and much less fortunate than most folks. Since we started, AKIN has helped over 200 children.  While we are a small charity and our outreach is small, we focus providing long-term, quality care for each child we come into contact with.
Making Financial Donations
We accept different types of financial donations (e.g., cash, cheque, bank transfer).  We are in the process of establishing an updated PayPal account.  All Financial Donations will go toward our projects.  You may specify which project you would like to support, or we will decide which of our projects are in need of financial assistance and will direct your funds toward that project.

Volunteer
Last year many volunteers donated hundreds of hours of their time to help AKIN with its various projects. They came from churches, civic groups, and corporations.  Many were individuals who simply felt a strong calling to help in any way they could.  Our volunteers have donated money, food, or life skills expertise (and in many cases, all three!) to help AKIN meet the needs of our world's less fortunate children.

You must be 16 or older to volunteer at AKIN Charity, without a parent or guardian.


Partnerships
AKIN accepts working together with corporate partners and other organizations who want to support the work of AKIN.  Corporate partnerships include establishing Employee Volunteer Projects, fundraising, donations of specific supplies, and other activities that support the work of AKIN.  AKIN works with its partners on a case by case basis, so please contact us at: support.us@akincharity.org to find out about how you can partner with us.
Sponsor a Child's Education
If you would like to make the commitment to sponsor a child's education for the long-term, please do send us an email at: sponsor.a.child@akincharity.org and we will provide you with a list of our kids that need your support.  We will provide you with updated progress reports on each child that you sponsor and will keep you informed of any developments with that child.
